After months of striving to perfection, The Dubcellar is the place for recording and mixing the material. The Dubcellar believes a good atmosphere contributes to a good final result. Responsible for this aspect is host, soundengineer and producer Robert Curiel.
The control room is dominated by a 36 channel mixingconsole from 1984 and a 24 track taperecorder on 1". But don't be mislead. The taperecorder is hooked up with a p.c. by using A/D converters so cutting, copying, pasting and cleaning up tracks is still possible.
Besides this setup we also record digital ofcourse still using the preamps of the mixingconsole.
For recording voiceovers we use more modern preamps.
There are two atmospheric recording rooms. One is 25m2 and one is 6m2. Both can be used at the same time during a recording session.
